Sharing My Healing Journey
I want to share something deeply personal with you today. Not because I’ve figured it all out, but because for a long time, I hadn’t.
I was 25 when the pain started. By 47, I was completely burned out. And I don’t mean the kind of burnout where you need a weekend away and a good cry. I’m talking about bone-deep exhaustion. The kind that eats away at your energy, your joy, and your ability to function.
Fibromyalgia had taken over my life. Some days, just getting out of bed felt like climbing Everest. Driving to visit my family could knock me flat for days. My legs, my back, my brain — everything hurt. The more I tried to heal, the more pressure I felt to do it perfectly.

The Quest for Healing
I spent years experimenting with different treatments, hoping something would finally "fix me." Some things helped, while others made me feel like I was failing. It felt like it was my fault for not healing fast enough or the right way.
Until one day, something shifted. I booked a kinesiology session with a lovely woman who, unknowingly, changed everything for me. Initially, I just wanted to test for allergies — to understand what was triggering the fibromyalgia. But I kept going... for 6 years.
A Holistic Approach to Healing
She didn’t just offer one modality. She used kinesiology, Alexander Technique, Matrix Energetics, Shamanic practices, even The Reconnection. Through her, I learned something that transformed my healing journey:
You don’t have to pick just one way to heal. Healing doesn’t have to be rigid. It can be messy, curious, intuitive… and still incredibly powerful.
She helped me unwind years of people-pleasing, overthinking, and the pressure to control every “what if.” I stopped trying to get it “right” and began letting it be. I started to relax and enjoy my healing instead of constantly judging myself through it.
Challenges Along the Way
I won’t lie — it wasn’t always smooth. There were moments of confusion. Her energy sometimes felt very “this is the only way,” which clashed with my natural curiosity.
I wanted to ask:
“What crystal are you using right now?” or
"Why are you putting a Stargate Portal triangle on my head and telling me the mothership is speaking to us from just outside the planet, via Alcazar the galactic guide?"
(Yes, that actually happened…!)
But when she told me that chakras no longer existed and that I shouldn’t speak about them, I knew I had to make a choice.
It was time to do healing *my way.*
