Energy healing may benefit you on a physical or emotional level or both! 

 

What you receive from your session depends on what you are ready and open for, and the healing and transformation will often continue for hours and sometimes days after the session.

During the session you will lie on a padded treatment table or stay seated if it's more comfortable for you. I’ll give energy healing using my hands which are gently placed on or near the body. It is non-invasive with no massage or manipulation. It's best to wear loose-fitting clothes and you remain fully clothed throughout the session, although shoes off is good!

 

Energy healing always goes to where it is needed most whether it is mental, physical and/or spiritual. 

 

I'll also use some light, sound or crystals therapy into the session as well, depending on what I feel will benefit and complement you most during the healing.

Energy Healing Sensations

Everyone’s experience of energy healing is different from each other. As the energies flow between us, you may feel a variety of sensations within your body, such a tingling, energy moving, warmth or cold and you may feel different emotions, as well as becoming very peaceful, relaxed and sleepy.

After the treatment, your body will balance itself and detoxify and it's important that you drink lots of water over the following few days and if possible take in more rest and relaxation. 

​

It's also helpful to observe your reactions, behaviour, thoughts and feelings. Many people will notice a reduction in pain, an increase in energy and alertness and will have an overall feeling of well-being.

How long does a session last?

Your first healing session will last for about 1 hour & 15 minutes so that we can talk about what you want to work on and go through any relevant background history or medical conditions you have and which may affect the issues.

 

Each subsequent healing session lasts about an hour but it really depends on how much healing you need and your body will let me know this during the session. Sometimes its a very quick session and others it may last over an hour. During that time we will talk before so that I can learn about you and what issues you most want to address so that I can include it in the healing work.

 

After the session we can go through what happened during the healing session and help you come to a higher understanding of yourself and where you are with things in your life.

How Many Sessions will I need?

More than one session is best as energy healing is cumulative and each session becomes more effective in balancing and healing the body. It is possible though to enjoy a single healing session now and then, much like a massage and tune up!

However it often may take more than one session to experience the full effects of energy healing. Usually four sessions are recommended for the best benefits, but once you have begun your healing journey we can discuss how many sessions you need and there is no pressure to have more than you want.

Animal Healing Sessions

Animal healing sessions are booked for 1 hour but may vary in length depending on the amount of healing the animal wants and owners should be aware that sometimes this can be very quick or it may take the full hour. It's very much down to the animal and I have to respect what they want to do, rather than what the owner is expecting to happen.

​

The healing may be hands-on or can be off the body especially if the animal is nervous or traumatised or doesn't like being handled by strangers.  Reiki healing can be given very effectively from across a room - even wild animals and birds can be given healing across a garden or field!

​

I will take some time before and after each session to discuss your animals issues and needs and prior to the first session, will send you a short form to complete and ask you to get your vet's permission before the session starts. If your animal is undergoing treatment with a vet this ensures they are aware the animal will be receiving Reiki healing to complement their treatment.

For animal healing work I can visit your animal at home where they will be most comfortable, as relaxation and comfort is one of the goals for a Reiki session. I do charge a small additional fee to cover travel costs for home visits which are more than 10 miles away.
